For The Love Of Color! 53 Pantone Tattoo Ideas

Color. Is. Everything. If you agree than these pantone tattoo ideas are the coolest concept to get inked. Pantone sets the standard and trends for colors every single year so it’s a perfect way to make sure our next tattoos are on trend & in style.

While there are tons of color tattoos, and many of us have at least one tattoo in color, there’s something different about a tattoo that’s centered around Pantone itself.

Whether you have a color in mind, or you like the concept of a tattoo looking like a Pantone color swatch… these tattoos are dreamy.

Looking for vibrant colors specifically? These bright colored tattoos are wonderful for the look and I think you’re going to love the stunning color ways that these tattoos are designed in.

Trending Color Ideas

Color tattoos go beyond simply… Using color ink. These are too cool and creative, perfect for the creative spirit.

1. Florals

A three dimensional floral pop with the color outlining makes this a killer piece.

2. In Color

Having an image pop out of the paint swatch is a common theme in Pantone tattoos, but this one is done in color!

3. Darker Images

These guys are a little darker of a theme than the florals, but they creatively combine the gothic themes with the Pantone trend.

A perfect example of the database of color codes, 116C is universal if you use Pantone to keep your colors and shades in order.

6. Color Codes

A black tattoo that represents something so colorful with a detail as specific as the color code is a piece that’s pretty interesting to the eye.

7. Bright Magenta

While this color won’t stay this vibrant due to the natural fade process of tattoo ink, this is such a stunning and lively tattoo! If you’re a pink girl, this one’s for you.

8. Red Roses

A pop of red in a rose is the perfect touch for this dainty little tattoo.

9. Combining Art References

The subtle desert sage color in the negative space and the actual desert flower make this such a beautiful tattoo.

Your skin tone color code just makes for a really cool tattoo.

Sun Kiss

Bring the sun kiss to you all year round.

Pros & Cons To Color Tattoos

What’s cool is that some of these aren’t even in color, but they really capture the energy of a devoted color lover.

But when you’re deciding if your tattoo or even collection of tattoos are going to keep the the classic black ink or go with color ink, there are a few factors to consider.

    • Style cohesiveness. You want to make sure that even if you have some color and some black tattoos, that your pieces all look like they work together.
    • Color fades faster. While black ink fades at the same rate, colored ink fades noticeably faster. Not a deal breaker entirely, but just a note.
    • Stunning detail work. Some of the most amazing pieces I’ve seen have brilliant color work done, and it really makes the piece pop.

While none of these make or break the decision if you already know what you want when it comes to your tattoos, sometimes it’s just good to take notes on pros and cons!

Color is what makes the world go ’round, even when we don’t recognize it.

Life and art are on full display and effected by colors, and it surely effects our mind spaces and how we take in the world around us.

When spring hits and we see the greenery come to life and the colorful flowers bloom, when we find a top in our favorite color, when we come across a graphic online in a stunning color combination…
